MMC has the privilege of sponsoring multiple races and events every year. We’re winding down our event season as the heat rolls in, but we had a blast at all our races and events that have kicked off 2026!
In January, we had the opportunity to be a major sponsor for the third year in a row for Word T.E.A.M. Sports and their Arizona ride/event for their adaptive athletes. We supported the athletes throughout their ride with sag support, and some of the MMC team riding alongside them. It’s inspiring every year to ride alongside these adaptive athletes and watch them ride through all the barriers thrown their way.
In February, we were the aid station for the Belgian Waffle Ride (BWR). This grueling race brings racers from all over, creating a huge gravel event. MMC wasn’t only the primary aid station, but we also host a gravel ride the day after, where we ride the course and pick up trash that was left behind from the race.
Our biggest event for March was the Cactus Cup mountain bike race! This is a huge, three-day event that also pulls athletes from all over. We even had a big group travel all the way from Puerto Rico to race! We have the fun job of sponsoring the kids’ races every year. We ran the balance bike races and sponsored the bigger kids’ races, providing winners’ jerseys. It’s always so fun seeing more kids on bikes, starting with racers as little as 1 year old!
