South Dakota, Alaska, Idaho, Colorado, Montana, Kansas, Nevada, Utah, British Columbia and, of course, Arizona… These are just a few of the places that you would have spotted a McDowell Mountain Cycles rider/racer over the last few months. We can’t begin to say how proud that makes all of us at MMC, including the 60 members of the MMC Ride Club.
As many of you know, the MMC Ride Club is a group of folks that love to ride bicycles and love to be part of a group that share in that love of cycling. We are road riders, mountain bikers, gravel addicts, town cruisers, e-bikers, bmx’ers, cyclocross junkies, enduro speed demons and a combination of all. We are moms, dads, grandmas, grandpas, brothers, sisters, students, singles, couples, young and not so young. Some of us race our bikes, but most of us just like riding. We are a little bit of everything and that is what makes the Ride Club so fantastic.
Did you know that anyone can be a part of the MMC Ride Club. We started the group with exactly that in mind. We wanted to be all inclusive because we feel that anyone and everyone that love riding bicycles is a welcome part of our group. Now, don’t get us wrong, we are extremely proud of our racers standing on podiums across Arizona and the Country, but we are also proud that our non racing members can ride, have fun and hang out as equal members.
If you, or someone you know, want to be a member of the MMC Ride Crew, it is as simple as stopping by the shop and signing up. The dues are $25, and you will get a MMC water bottle, a pair of MMC socks or hat, it’s a great deal!
And don’t forget, we have fun events, parties and group rides like the TNR on Tuesday nights, the Lady’s MTB and Wine ride on Wednesday nights, The Saturday road rides, and the Sunday FunDay gravel rides (beginning in November).
