Trek has identified an industry-wide safety issue with a certain type of Quick Release Skewer, the QR11. In and of itself, it is not faulty, but when secured incorrectly and used on a bike with disc brakes, serious injury can occur.
Check all of your bikes (Trek or not) with disc brakes; if the front QR lever can swing into the brake disc, replace it immediately. If it’s a Trek bike, we’ll replace it for free and give you $20 store credit on Bontrager items.

Don’t be surprised if other manufacturers issue recalls because there are a ton of these skewers in use today.
