After nearly 3000 miles with no flats, I’m finally changing out my tubeless road tire for a new one.

I’ve pulled out staples, ridden through glass and road debris and 1/4 of those miles were on gravel all with no flats.

One of the big benefits of tubeless is it allows you to ride lower pressure because you aren’t at risk of pinch flatting a tube. This makes for much better handing, control and gives a mush smoother ride.

Tubeless has been around for nearly 20 years on the mountain bike and in the past few years has made huge strides for the road. If I were thinking of upgrading any component on my bike, it would be converting my wheels to tubeless. Even before going to disc brakes or a new drive train.

Many current wheels can accept tubeless tires, but if you’re not sure, just stop into MMC and they can check your wheels compatibility.

3000 miles of putting this tire through the ringer with staples, thorns, glass, and gravel, it’s starting to deteriorate, but I’ve had zero flats!
