One of our favorite things here at MMC is being involved in the community. From race support, hosting events, being involved in community events, and more, we love it all! And we couldn’t possibly do it all without our amazing volunteers and ambassadors!
Earlier this year, the MMC crew had the opportunity to support World T.E.A.M. (The Exceptional Athlete Matters) Sports and their adaptive and able-bodied athletes on their Valley of the Sun Arizona ride.
For the last several years, MMC has had the opportunity to sponsor the Cactus Cup Kid’s Races. We had a blast and love seeing and supporting more kids on bikes!
RAGBRAI L, the 50th anniversary of the “Register’s Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa” got it’s namesake when “in 1973 two columnists at the Des Moines Register, Donald Kahl and John Karras, got the idea to ride across Iowa on their bikes.
A few months ago, Craig Swetel, the founder/director of the Chino Grinder Race envisioned a bike ride across our beautiful state utilizing almost exclusively dirt and gravel backroads.
Fountain Hills Bikes and McDowell Mountain Cycles have teamed up to offer this unique ride around the Fountain Hills area. This will be a fully supported ride for everyone.
The second annual “Fountain Hills GranFondo” is coming this March 2nd. The ride will feature two distances, 50K and 100K and it will be supported with SAG as well as two aid stations along the route.
The 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo is a mountain biking event like no other. It has grown into the largest 24 hour race in the world and over 5,000 people accumulate in the Arizona desert north of Tucson for this “Burning Man of Mountain Biking.”
